Domaine Aurélie Berthod

Pernand Vergelesses - Cote d'Or - Burgundy - France

Born in the 80s, Aurélie BERTHOD believed her destiny was to take over the family business. She got a double degree : a "Master In Business" at the Burgundy School of Business in Dijon (France) and a "Degree in Business Administration and Management" at the Faculty of Business in Granada (Spain).

When she came back to France at the end of the 2000s, she got closer to Burgundy where she had previously met her husband, a winemaker. In 2012, she left her job in marketing to manage and develop the adminnistrative part of her in-laws wine estate.

In 2017, Aurélie had the opportunity to but a wine estate of 5.5 hectares of vineyards on Pernand-Vergelesses, Chorey-les-Beaune and Beaune. She created her own wine estate "Domaine Aurélie BERTHOD".

From her first harvest in 2017, the wines are often in the top in blind tastings (MAJOR of Tastevinage at the Château du Clos de Vougeot, gold medals at the competition of FEMINALISE, Stars in the French "Guide Hachette des Vins"…).

Dark-red fruit on the nose but with plenty of freshness. Modestly mouth-filling, but nicely pure and with a fine mouth-watering side.

A good attack to this wine – a wine that opens out well and finishes well – keep this for a  little while in your cellar but this is very tasty.
